They say...

... that you become the product of those you surround yourself with... that couldn't be more true, and i've know that for a while now actually... i think a lot of me knowing that theory contributes to why i am in the position that i am today... my life from the early 2000's when i first started messing around with a music career, to now, has really changed drastically (not only because that was 8 years ago lol)... a few years ago, i began to have a falling out with a group of friends that at one point in my life, meant the world to me... i had a falling out with these people because they no longer related to me, or my cause, or my goals... now, i am in no way saying that they didn't support me, because the reality of it is that some of them probably did... but i just didn't relate to them anymore... it's like when you're in high school and you have a "best friend"... the reason you are "best friends" is because, chances are, both of you have common interests (you like the same music, like to do the same activities, etc)... but as you grow older, your priorities and goals change... you naturally begin to surround yourself with people who are aspiring to accomplish the same things you are... you begin to surround yourself by people who have similar interests, and because of this, you become distant to those people that used to be on the same page as you... some people may not agree with me, but chances are, those people are just in denial... if i'm an aspiring doctor, surrounding myself with accountants all day, my focus as an aspiring doctor is probably tarnished... if i am a kid trying to get a real job, hanging out with drug dealers on the street all day, chances are, i won't get a real job and will probably become a drug dealer like them... get it? good...

i really do wish the best on all those who think i am referring to them when i say "group of friends".. if you have goals and dreams for yourself.. if you DON'T want to be stuck in the same place or live in the same town for the rest of your life... if you WANT to be successful and meet NEW people... if you are inspired and motivated to succeed, then do yourself a favor.... take my advice, because the only direction to go is UP.. i'm not quite there yet, and i'm not at all implying that i am "Mr. Big Shot Music Producer", but i think i'm on the right track, and i feel blessed and thankful for where fate has led me....
